The number of the guests on your wedding list is influenced by many different things like: the location, dates, budget and family members. Wedding Venue, Wedding location, wedding budget etc...
There will probably be a limit to the number of guests your allow at the wedding reception so get an idea of how many guests you'll have before looking for the reception venue. Of course your budget will also change the amount of guests you can invite too so it is important to discuss how many people to invite from each side of the couple.
- When announcing your engagement don't invite everyone that asks if they are invitied before making the final guest list. Most likely you won't be able to invite everyone so let them down easily by tell them you aren't sure how large the wedding will be. If your pretty sure you won't be inviting them, You can always say your having a small ceremony and most likely only inviting family.
- As a couple, decide who is an absolute must. Think about all your friends and family and decide who you must have there at your wedding. Mom, Dad, Aunt Hilda, Your best friend etc...
- You can limit the number of guests by excluding children, plus one's, co-workers, acquaintances etc...
